The Oath (Chapter V Gone) Svenial opened up his eyes. The sun was just rising, red as it was the day before while setting. The air was not humid, nor damp, just right. He was the first one awake, surprisingly. Normally it was Lyeila jumping for joy around all of them. Svenial walked to the cliffs edge, sat down and dangled his feet over to enjoy the morning breeze. A few minutes later, Cheonsa woke up, and joined Svenial. "Good morning." She said. "Hey." Svenial greeted. He let out a random subject. "Have you ever wondered what it`s like to die..?" Asked Svenial. "Well.. Every race has their beliefs." Said Cheonsa puzzled why he asked such a question. "But we asura, believe in the eternal alchemy. We think we are all a part of a bigger picture. Or that we are all gears in a huge machine, some how." She added. "How about sylvari?" "We don`t exactly have any beliefs.. The pale tree is who we look up to, and no one else. We do not fear death, nor should we feel we sh
The Oath (Chapter IV Little Bodies and Big Brains) The three ran towards the opening to aid whoever let out the distress call. They got out their weapons again. As they neared the source of the shout, they could hear shuffling and a little voice screaming. "Back off!" The voice yelped, in a weakened voice. "Over there!" Said Lyeila. The three saw a couple of panthers gaining up on the small, helpless asura. One of the panthers spotted Mjorn, and charged at him. The other panther stalked closer, with every step, gaining a hungrier look on its face. Svenial was sure the asura didn`t notice them. Instead, she was in shock of what this panther might do to her, or will. Mjorn put his left leg forward and braced himself for the panthers impact. It jumped and latched on to his arm piece. Mjorn swung his arm against towards the tree, and smacked it so hard, the tree shook. The panther got up and let out a yelp. Lyeila took out her bow and shot it in the leg, letting Mjorn swing his bloody axe at
The Oath (Chapter III Long Road) The three stopped a step away from crossing the root covered, purple glowing, asuran portal. "This is to Lions Arch. When we get there, we can go through to Rata Sum." Said Lyeila still a bit frustrated about Zrains unexpected visit. "This will be my first time.." Svenial let out. Mjorn chuckled. "Let`s go." Lyeila said confidently. Lyeila stepped through. They could see her stepping through on their side, but she became invisible on the other side. Mjorn went in next, seeming like an expert. Then Svenial took a step through. He was amazed. Behind his was the grove, a totally green, luscious grass filled land. But with one step, the air grew damp, the ground felt like hard wood and he could feel the oceans breeze. The change in time was minor, but the change in the terrain was drastic. He could see the sand all around him, and the cities homes and buildings, made of what seemed like the same dark wood the platform he was on was made of. "
The Oath (Chapter II A Legend Begins)"What do you mean?" Asked Svenial, trying to act puzzled, knowing that his adventures might take him to dangerous places, places that could mean death for either one of them or both. "Don`t be silly!" Lyeila laughed. "I knew from the beginning that you were looking up to the bigger picture. I knew from what your dream was that you don`t want to stay here, you want to go adventure, to make a difference in the world. I want to do that with you!" She said excitedly. She took a seat beside Svenial and put her hands in front of her. "Please take me with you.. I don`t want to stay here any longer.." She added. Svenial looked at his soup, flushing it around with his spoon. Looking at every texture it contained. Somehow he was able to read 'Let her' in his soup from the bubbles, but he probably imagined it. "Fine.." He said unsure of what he just got her or even himself into. "But please, listen to me.." He looked up at her with a very serious stare. "Don`t worry." She sai
